Exposure and Response Prevention - Helps break the cycle of intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors.
For 15 years I have focused on providing care to adults and teens by focusing on a client-centered treatment. My goal as your therapist is to assist you in regaining control of the intrusive thoughts associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and conquer the struggles that come with anxiety and depression. I will strive to gain a thorough understanding of your needs and world views as we meet so that together we can explore the why’s to the behaviors & patterns you encounter in relationships or in avoidant behaviors. Therapy will help provide you with the space and tools to learn to enjoy life without fear.
I am experienced in EMDR, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). As a psychologist I have assisted military personnel and police departments in addressing struggles that can occur in their occupations (trauma, PTSD, etc.). I am also experienced in working with OCD, women’s issues such as PMS, PMDD, and postpartum.
I aim to create a safe, welcoming space where you can share openly and feel truly understood. Starting therapy can be daunting, but I'm here to guide you through every step. I believe you deserve a fulfilling life and would be honored to support you on your journey toward understanding yourself and gaining control of your life.
Therapy: OCD, trauma, anxiety, faith transitions, perfectionism, sexual concerns, or something just “off”—I have specialized training for healing and progress. I bring safe space to discover, own, and organize yourself in healing ways. OCD is my specialty! My aim is to help you heal from your past, get "unstuck", and fulfill your needs moment-to-moment in ways that leave you feeling satisfied with your life. I utilize ERP, CBT, Gestalt, Emotion-Focused, and EMDR therapies. Assessment: I also provide psychological assessment services! (Autism, ADHD, and general diagnostic clarification)
I am very present and listen well. I integrate techniques from multiple disciplines. We'll use talk, awareness, expression, somatic, cognitive, behavioral, and neuro techniques to identify and transform what isn't working well and reinforce what is! For my OCD clients, I combine all this with the gold standard ERP and CBT.
Therapy can be a place of discovery and healing. I actually really love what I do! I look forward to meeting you; each person is unique, each session is unique, and many meaningful moments of progress emerge. I’ve been told I listen well, have a good presence, and feel safe. I am effective across diverse religious, political, sexual spectrums.
We develop our interpersonal styles when we are very young. Moving into adulthood, people tend to keep doing what they’ve always done – even if it has stopped working. As a result, they may feel depressed, anxious, and blocked from having the rich life experiences that they crave. In my psychotherapy practice, I work with older adolescents and adults who are struggling in relationships – with parents, employers, friends, or intimate partners - and do not know why or what to do about it. My aim is to help people (1) develop an awareness of their interpersonal styles and (2) find ways to make adaptive change in their lives.
I am a licensed psychologist with over twenty years of consultation, assessment, and psychotherapy experience. My approach in therapy is broadly psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, although I use evidence-based interventions as warranted.
I have experiencing working with children, adolescents, and adults at both the outpatient and inpatient level with varying levels of mental illness. I have helped primarily children and adolescents through difficulties related to depression, ADHD, suicidal ideation, oppositional defiant disorder, PTSD, and other mental health related illness.
My approach is collaborative and individualized, drawing from evidence-based treatments, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Humanistic approaches with an emphasis on developing adaptive coping strategies and insight.
Seeking therapy is a courageous first step and often one that leads to lifechanging outcomes. I strive to provide a warm, supportive environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself, while working to improve overall life satisfaction.
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward their goals. My goal is to support each client in developing practical tools, greater self-awareness, and a stronger sense of well-being.
Therapy often requires a lot of hard work, but I have found plenty of space for laughter and light-heartedness along the way! I work with adults in any stage of life, and have a passion for working with teenagers whether they require someone to listen and help them process their thoughts or need tools and guidance to navigate complex situations. I will always provide validation and support, but I can also deliver direct and honest feedback when necessary. My focus is on understanding where you currently are and where you want to go, without judgment.
I have developed a strong ability to adapt my therapeutic approach to meet my clients' needs. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems to assist clients in tackling a range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and grief. I use EMDR to help address specific challenges stemming from past trauma.
Reaching out for help can be frightening, but I believe your unique experiences are valuable and worth taking that first step. I want to be by your side throughout your healing journey, supporting you as you work towards becoming the best version of yourself. I genuinely look forward to meeting you and hearing your unique life story!
